But we look beyond the stillness to a caring presence to whom we can surrender ourselves in silent meditation. The massive roots of a yew tree enfolding Christ’s risen presence reach out to embrace and to invite embrace. The stark monastic settings are encapsulated in the stained glass, and the holy book resting on the bog oak brings together the present and the past.
