Fr.Stephen Daly was born in Tisaran in 1575. He entered the Capuchin Order in Belgium on December 8th 1606. He returned to his native area of Tisaran in 1615 and by doing so he became the first Capuchin priest to serve in Ireland.
On 1st March 1620, Fr.Stephen aged 45 years died and was buried in Tisaran cemetery.
